The authentic American dream is something like this – it is not a straight line, and that’s the point. It’s more in tune with the American constitution and its amendments. You know, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness… Work hard in school for at least 12 years to discover what you are good at and what you need to get better at. You find passion and you persist. While you are working hard, discover that when you are truly helping someone else, time has no meaning and the rewards are beyond monetary, which miraculously lands you more money.... |

So, have you been following the “American dream”? Work hard in school for 12 years to get a big education which means good grades and a good resume to get into a “good” school. Get a job in the field you’ve studied for at least 4+ years of advanced studies(college systems). Keep the job and get promoted regularly for at least 20 years(a military career) or longer(a large American corporation, or a great family owned business perhaps). With that job, get a retirement plan of some sort, managed by a financial planning company, with the money being invested in typical... |
